We are delighted to announce that Retinar has been awarded funding through the 2021 call for PICT startups from the Agencia Nacional para la Promoción de la Investigación, el Desarrollo Científico y la Innovación (Agencia I+D+i). This funding will support our ongoing research efforts in Retinar under the supervision of Dr. José Ignacio Orlando.

The project entails funding for a duration of three years, with a total grant amount of AR$ 2,700,000. Additionally, the project includes provisions for a three-year Ph.D. scholarship within our group, specializing in deep learning for ophthalmic image analysis.
